Shilajit is a dark, tar-like substance that seeps from rocks in high mountain ranges, including the Himalayas. It has been used in Ayurvedic tradition for centuries and is made of decomposed plant matter, minerals and humic compounds such as fulvic acid.
What is fulvic acid?
Fulvic acid is one of the main organic compounds found in shilajit, and quality products are often described by their fulvic acid content. Alpha Gummies are made with shilajit resin with 75% fulvic acid, at 1000 mg of shilajit resin (10:1) per serving of two gummies.
What does the research say?
Research on shilajit is still early. A few small human studies exist, many funded by ingredient makers, and results cannot be applied to every product, dose or person. Some small trials of purified shilajit looked at markers such as energy, fatigue and hormone levels, but larger independent trials are needed. We do not make disease or hormone claims for Alpha Gummies.
Why quality matters
Raw, unprocessed shilajit can contain heavy metals and contaminants, so purification matters. Look for a brand that uses purified shilajit, lists amounts on the label, and tells you how it is made.
Why a gummy?
Traditional shilajit resin is sticky, strongly flavoured and hard to measure. A gummy gives you a consistent amount in an easy format: two gummies a day, individually wrapped.
