Shilajit is a dark, tar-like substance that seeps from rocks in high mountain ranges, including the Himalayas. It has been used in Ayurvedic tradition for centuries and is made of decomposed plant matter, minerals and humic compounds such as fulvic acid.<\/p>\n
Fulvic acid is one of the main organic compounds found in shilajit, and quality products are often described by their fulvic acid content. Alpha Gummies are made with shilajit resin with 75% fulvic acid, at 1000 mg of shilajit resin (10:1) per serving of two gummies.<\/p>\n
Research on shilajit is still early. A few small human studies exist, many funded by ingredient makers, and results cannot be applied to every product, dose or person.
